Some media reported that the head of the Department of Additional and Distance Education of the Baku Slavic University (BSU), Durdana Aliyeva, embezzled a large amount of money from tuition fees, and this caused discontent among the students of this university, press service of the General Prosecutor’s Office told APA.

On the basis of numerous appeals received from BSU students in connection with the above illegal actions of D. Aliyeva, a criminal case was initiated in the General Directorate for Combating Corruption under the General Prosecutor’s Office under Articles of Criminal Code 178.3.2 (fraudulently damaging fraud), 32.4, 312.2 (incitement to bribe), 311.1 (bribe-taking).

Intensive investigative measures in the case continue.
