Czech Prime Minister condemns coup attempt in Turkey
Prime Minister of the Czech Republic Bohuslav Sobotka has once again condemned an attempted coup that took place in Turkey on July 15.
“The change of power in a state must take place in a democratic way. There is no place for violence and weapons in the policy of a democratic country,” he said.
Meanwhile Czech Finance Minister Andrej Babis said he never imagined that “anything like a coup will occur in a country seeking to join the European Union, in a county that is a member of NATO”. “There is no place for coup attempts in Europe,” he added.
