“The names of 84,423 people, submitted by the Commission on the Assignment of Veteran Titles and Relevant Certificates, operating under the Office of the Defense Ministry, are included in the “Victory” subsystem of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of Population,” the Ministry of Defense told AZERTAC.

“Currently, in Baku and other regions of our republic, the members of the above-mentioned commission jointly with the relevant institutions are gradually carrying out the process of awarding the certificate of “War Veteran” to citizens whose names are included in the system.

It should be noted that to date, the data of 4,300 people, submitted for the assignment of the title and certificate of “War Veteran”, was returned by the commission, operating under the Office of the Defense Ministry, for reconsideration in relation to the requirement of additional documents necessary for clarification, and in accordance with requirements of the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan No. 216, appeals of 1,042 people were refused by the commission.

Moreover, the documents of 1,188 citizens were recently submitted to the relevant commission for inclusion in the “Victory” subsystem of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of Population.

It should be noted that the monthly grant (80 AZN) of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan will be appointed and its payment will be calculated from January 1, 2022, and ensured for citizens, who were awarded the title of “War Veteran” and whose names were included in the “Victory” subsystem,” the ministry said.
