Digital Transport Map Unveiled for COP29 Conference in Baku

Baku: In preparation for the global influx of visitors anticipated for the COP29 climate conference scheduled in Baku from November 11 to 22, the COP29 Azerbaijan Operating Company has introduced a Digital Transport Map. The initiative aims to streamline transportation for attendees, providing essential information on access routes, transport hubs, and accommodations.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, this comprehensive online resource offers guidance on strategically situated transport hubs throughout Baku. These hubs facilitate connectivity between accommodations and the Baku Stadium venue, utilizing a mix of shuttle buses, metro lines, and taxis. The interactive map, accessible on the COP29 website, delineates key transport locations, including the Blue and Green Zones of Baku Stadium, Heydar Aliyev Airport, and various major hotels and residential complexes.

The map’s features enable users to select optimal routes for driving or walking, ensuring convenience and efficiency. In addition to the digita
l map, the COP29 Azerbaijan Operating Company has implemented other strategies to manage the anticipated visitor surge. Approximately 400 buses, including express public buses and dedicated conference shuttles, are deployed alongside numerous taxis to ensure dependable transport services.

This initiative, which surpasses UNFCCC requirements, allows delegates free transport access in Baku by presenting their accreditation or a confirmation letter from the UNFCCC.
