A 50-year-old resident of Sailyk village was detained for drug possession. Press service of the Central Internal Affairs Department of Chui region reported.

«About 19.47 grams of hashish were found on March 18 in the house of the suspect during search. A criminal case has been initiated under Article 283 (illegal manufacture of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances and their analogues without purpose of sale) of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic,» the statement says.

The suspect was arrested and placed in a temporary detention center. The investigation is ongoing.
