DOHA — Mahmoud Trezeguet, the Egyptian international footballer, has officially joined the Qatari football club Al-Rayyan on a one-season loan from Turkish club Trabzonspor, as reported by APA citing KingFut.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, who started his European career at Anderlecht in 2015, moved to Al-Rayyan following his exclusion from Trabzonspor’s squad for the recent Eypspor match. This season, he had made seven appearances for the Turkish team, but following their early exit from European competitions, Trezeguet looked for new opportunities, leading to his loan to Al-Rayyan. The Qatari club, seeking to improve their league performance where they currently stand eighth, last won the Qatari Stars League in the 2015/16 season. Trezeguet leaves Trabzonspor after two seasons where he notably scored 25 goals and provided 16 assists in 76 games across all competitions, also winning the Super Cup.
