“Within the framework of a fight against the pandemic, Turkey has provided medical assistance and support to 157 countries and 12 international organizations. Especially, we did not leave our African brothers alone in this difficult situation” said Turkish President Rejeb Tayyip Erdogan during his performance in the online event “COVID-19 and post-development financing” organized by the UN with the participation of heads of state and government, APA reports.

He noted that the COVID-19 pandemic has once again exposed the shortcomings of the global system.

“The pandemic, which has caught even the richest countries of the world unprepared, has caused very serious complications in the developing countries. About 100 countries could not receive the vaccine still. It is fact that if the fair distribution of the vaccine is not ensured, the pandemic will not end. Once our work on the production of a local vaccine completes, our vaccine will be presented in the use of the people with the most appropriate conditions” said the Turkish President.
