On June 10, with an organizational support of the Ministry of Economy and the Sumgait Chemical Industrial Park LLC an event on the theme “University-Industrial cooperation: the experience of the OSTIM Technical University” was held.
Representatives of the relevant state structures of Azerbaijan and Turkey, residents of the Sumgait Chemical Industrial Park took part in the event held at the Center for Professional Education at the Sumgait Chemical Industrial Park LLC.
The purpose of the business event is to ensure sustainable cooperation between higher education institutions and industrial enterprises, the wide application of scientific potential in industry, the expansion of research and innovation activities of residents of industrial parks.
Director of the Sumgait Chemical Industrial Park LLC, Elshad Nuriyev, informed about the favorable conditions created for entrepreneurs in industrial parks and industrial districts in accordance with the industrialization policy implemented in our country. Elshad Nuriyev stressed that the Sumgait Chemical Industrial Park LLC attaches great importance to cooperation with scientific and educational institutions for the training of professional personnel in the field of industry, as well as the fact that relations are established with many domestic and foreign educational institutions.
Head of the Department of Science, Higher and Secondary Special Education of the Ministry of Education, Nijat Mammadli, shared his opinion on the importance of university-industrial cooperation, the need for practical programs for training personnel, Vice-Rector for Science and Innovation of Ganja State University, Parvin Karimzade, in her turn, shared her opinion on cooperation between the state and business.
Chairman of the Board of the Turkish Center for Industry and Trade in the Middle East (OSTIM) Orhan Aydin spoke about the activities of the organization. Note that OSTIM is a network that cooperates with the industrial sector through technology parks located in the regions. Orhan Aydin drew attention to the importance of establishing cooperation links between OSTIM and industrial zones operating in Azerbaijan.
Rector of the Azerbaijan Technical University, Vilayat Valiyev, spoke about the cooperation between the higher educational institution and the OSTIM Technical University in the field of student exchange and new opportunities arising from the university-industrial cooperation formed against the background of the development of the innovative industry in our country, noted that every year several students of the Azerbaijan Technical University undergo practical training in the OSTIM industrial region.
Rector of OSTIM Technical University Murat Ali Yolek spoke about the opportunities for cooperation with Azerbaijani universities and the importance of university-industrial relations. He stressed that the OSTIM Technical University is the first higher education institution established in the territory of OSTIM.
Residents of the Sumgait Chemical Industrial Park “Azertechnoline” LLC, “SOCAR Polymer “LLC and” STP ” LLC informed about the cooperation of their enterprises with many higher educational institutions.
At the event, videos were shown about the activities of the industrial parks operating in Azerbaijan, the OSTIM Technical University, and discussions were held on this topic.
