GDP growth in Kyrgyzstan to reach 3.4 percent at year-end 2023

The real GDP growth in Kyrgyzstan will be about 3.4 percent at year-end 2023, and excluding enterprises for the development of Kumtor mine — about 3.6 percent. The National Bank gives such forecast.

The bank notes that this year the real sector of the economy of Kyrgyzstan will show growth below average. The increase in production at the enterprise for the development of Kumtor mine will not exceed the output of 2022. In a sectoral context, economic growth will be supported by agriculture (due to livestock and crop production), industry (due to the resumption of work of idle enterprises and maintaining the stability of output at existing enterprises), the service sector and construction.

In 2024, the growth rate of real GDP will be set at about 3.8 percent, and excluding enterprises for the development of Kumtor mine — about 4 percent.
