‘I consider that, holding the next Climate Change Conference – COP 29 in Azerbaijan is good opportunity,’ a representative from Côte d’Ivoire (Ivory Coast), Daouda Konate said, APA reports.

‘My expectations from Climate Change Conference that’s going to be held in Azerbaijan next year are high. I believe that important steps will be taken there. I hope that at the next COP, developed countries will help developing countries to become more sustainable to climate change. I consider that we can use this opportunity to work with Azerbaijan which is going to be host,’ he said.

Daouda Konate emphasized that creating a fund to help countries affected by the consequences of climate change was announced at COP28: ‘I hope that more states will contribute to this fund, will take concrete steps during the summit that’s going to be held in Azerbaijan.’
