In August, Azerbaijani customs raised payments to budget by nearly 2 times

In August 2022, the State Customs Committee transferred 746.8 million manats to the budget.This was reported by the Committee.

The report says that this is up by 93.5% from August 2021.

In particular, the last year the revenue from customs duties grew by 49.2% to 157.3 million manats, value added tax (VAT) – by 2.1 times to 561.3 million manats, excise taxes – by 53.6% to 20.9 million manats, road tax – by 2 times to 7.2 million manats.

In January-August of this year, revenues to the budget amounted to 3,767.6 million manats. This is up by 34.1% from the same period of the last year.

Specifically, over the last year the annual receipts for customs duties rose by 18.8% to 905.8 million manats, for VAT – by 41.8% to 2712.9 million manats, for excise taxes – by 0.1% to 106.3 million manats, for road tax – by 49.8% to 42.1 million manats.
