In the first days of May, border guards seized 27 kg of drugs

In the first days of May, the country’s border guards seized almost 27 kg of various drugs on the southern border with Iran. The State Border Service reported that on May 1 near the village of Boyuk Bahmanli a violation of the border by Iran was recorded. As a result of operational measures, two persons with large bundles were detained. They were a resident of Baku Aliyev Emil Pasha oglu, born in 1980, and a resident of Fizuli Ahmedova Gulshan Khudat gizi, born in 1997.

There were 26 kg 694 gram of various drugs (opium, heroin, marijuana and methamphetamine), as well as methadone pills, in the bundles.

On May 2, at 18:30, another violation of the border by Iran was recorded near the village of Yaglivend, Fizuli region. In the course of operational measures, Elshan Gadirov Adiloglu, born in 1988, was detained; 295 gram of methamphetamine and 500 methadone tablets were found in his jacket.

Both cases are under investigation.
