International Green STEAM Azerbaijan Festival Commences in Baku


Baku: The International Green STEAM Azerbaijan Festival commenced on October 24, supported by the Ministry of Science and Education of Azerbaijan and the COP29 Presidency, and organized by the “STEAM Azerbaijan” project. The event, held at the Baku Expo Center, began with an opening ceremony attended by state officials, members of parliament, COP29 representatives, leaders of educational and scientific institutions, and notable public figures.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the ceremony began with the playing of the National Anthem of Azerbaijan, followed by a video presentation dedicated to the festival. The event also included the introduction of local and international teams participating in the festival, highlighting the global collaboration and exchange of knowledge in the fields of science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics (STEAM).

The festival, which aims to foster innovative practices and sustainable solutions, will take place over two days, from October 24 to 25. It seeks to bri
ng together experts and enthusiasts from various sectors to explore and promote green technologies and practices, aligning with the objectives of COP29.
