Israel has approved the use of a drug against COVID-19

The Israeli Ministry of Health has approved the use of Paxlovid, a drug developed by the US company Pfizer against COVID-19.

WHO: There is no specific information on whether the Omicron strain is more contagious

The first infection of the Omicron strain was registered in Greece

It was noted that the Ministry of Health and Pfizer have already signed an agreement on the purchase of Paxlovid, and the drug is expected to be sent to Israel in the coming days.

 

Note that Paxlovid is intended for the treatment of patients with mild to moderate coronavirus.
