Israeli composer Shohat conducts “Kyiv virtuosi” chamber orchestra in Gabala

Israeli composer Gil Shohat has conducted Ukraine’s “Kyiv virtuosi” chamber orchestra at the 8th Gabala International Music Festival, which is organized by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation.

Performers in the concert included senior teacher at Jerusalem Music Centre and Young Israel Philharmonic Orchestra (YIPO) Nitai Zori (violin), vice rector of Baku Music Academy Yegana Akhundova (piano), laureate of international contests Saida Taghizade (piano), and Honoured Artist of Azerbaijan Alexey Miltikh (cello).

The concert featured works of Ludwig van Beethoven, Manuel de Falla and Felix Mendelssohn.
