The Japanese government allocated a grant of $ 1.2 million to Azerbaijan as assistance to eliminate the consequences of the humanitarian crisis that arose as a result of the Second Karabakh War.

 

The Japanese Embassy in Baku reports that the aid is provided by medical equipment for a clinic, solving the problem of water supply for about 500 people, restoration of temporary shelters for 6,400 people, their heating and food assistance for 8,000 people.

 

During the period of independence, the Japanese government has provided Azerbaijan with concessional loans for $ 1 billion and allocated grants for more than $ 100 million, the embassy said.
