Kyrgyzstan Aims for Crime-Free Status by 2026

Kyrgyzstan – Kamchybek Tashiev, Chairman of the State Committee for National Security of Kyrgyzstan (SCNS), announced at a Parliament meeting the country’s ambitious goal to eliminate crime by 2026. He stated that the SCNS employees are effectively combating organized crime groups and have confiscated over $200 million in property and money from criminal activities, contributing significantly to the state.

According to 24.kg News Agency, Tashiev highlighted the SCNS’s efforts in taking over assets from criminal groups, including the Aiperi salon and the Cristal factory in Tash-Kumyr. He mentioned recovering substantial investments from crime bosses and returning them to the state. Emphasizing strict adherence to legality, Tashiev mentioned firing employees involved in bribery and underscored his commitment to ensuring that crime bosses like Dzhengo do not continue their illegal activities. He requested additional funding from the Cabinet of Ministers to increase SCNS employees’ salaries, reaffirming his dedication to legality and the eradication of crime in Kyrgyzstan by 2026.
