A citizen of Kyrgyzstan died in a road accident on Yekaterinburg — Shadrinsk — Kurgan highway. The Consulate General of Kyrgyzstan in Yekaterinburg confirmed the information to 24.kg news agency.

According to Russian media, the traffic accident occurred on April 25 at about 5.30 a.m. on the 240th kilometer of Yekaterinburg — Shadrinsk — Kurgan highway. The driver of Honda Fit was moving from Kurgan to Yekaterinburg. He drove into the oncoming lane and collided with a Hyundai car.

«The driver of the car died in the traffic accident, this is our citizen. He was traveling with his wife and another passenger. They have been taken to nearby hospitals. Representatives of the Consulate General left for the place as soon as they received information about the accident. The issue is under control. All necessary assistance is being provided,» the Consulate said.

The driver of Hyundai car received bodily injuries of varying severity, he is undergoing outpatient treatment.
