McDonald’s set to leave Kazakh market

BAKU, Azerbaijan, A chain of fast food restaurants controlled by “Food Solutions KZ” LLP ceases to operate under the McDonald’s brand in Kazakhstan, Trend reports, citing the press service of the company.

 

According to the official statement, the reason for the cessation of operation is the lack of stable supplies

 

“The resumption of activities and the timing of the opening of new fast food restaurants under the new name will be announced in the near future”, the statement notes.

 

McDonald’s operations in the country started in 2016. During these years, 24 restaurants in several major cities have been launched, which employed around 2,000 people. “Food Solutions KZ” LLP transferred more than 3 billion Kazakh tenge ($6.4 million) to the state budget in the form of taxes.
