“Regarding the claims that the Lachin road was closed and that the Armenian residents living in the area are facing the threat of a humanitarian crisis, let’s note that the Lachin road was closed not by Azerbaijani protesters, but by the peacekeeping contingent of the Russian Federation temporarily stationed in the territory of the Republic of Azerbaijan,” Azerbaijani MFA said in response to the statement of Armenian MFA, APA reports.

“The Azerbaijani side is ready to meet the humanitarian needs of all Armenian residents living in our territories, and the claims of the Armenian side have no basis,” the statement says.
