Mobili: “We saw elements of Armenian vandalism and falsification in Shusha during the occupation”

“This is our eighth visit to Karabakh since the liberation of the occupied territories. Earlier, we visited Agdam with his Highness Sheikh. Every time we visit, we witness Armenian fraud and vandalism,” head of the Albanian Udi religious community Robert Mobili, who is on a visit to Shusha, told APA.

He said that they visited both Islamic and Christian monuments in Shusha: “We also saw elements of falsification in the churches. We observed elements of Armenian vandalism and falsification during the 30-year occupation of Shusha. When our community visited Albanian monuments, especially in Karabakh, we witnessed the atrocities committed by Armenians for 30 years. When we always pray, we first remember our martyrs. We wish good health to our veterans. Let’s always hear the voice of Azerbaijan from Shusha. My greatest wish is that every citizen of Azerbaijan should visit this place and see the liberated places with their own eyes. I also visited Khudavang Monastery and Agoghlan in Lachin. Karabakh has a very rich ancient cultural heritage. This is our heritage, it has nothing to do with the Armenian heritage. As Mr. President said, Shusha is a clear example of this. We have seen that monuments related to both Islam and Christianity are being restored very quickly. We appreciate it very much, we support this step of Mr. President, because Azerbaijan is an ancient, multinational, multi-religious country. Representatives of the Jewish religious community, Orthodox and Catholic churches, leaders of religious communities are here during this visit, and Shusha is very close to us.”
