Mongolia intends to export meat and meat products to Kyrgyzstan

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan held talks with his counterpart in Mongolia.

Jeenbek Kulubaev and Battsetseg Batmunkh assessed the current state of relations and cooperation between Mongolia and the Kyrgyz Republic and exchanged views on expanding ties and partnership in the international and regional arenas in the areas of politics, trade, economics, transport, logistics, agriculture, culture and tourism.

Battsetseg Batmunkh noted that over the past 30 years, the two countries have steadily developed friendly relations, and stressed the importance of cooperation with Kyrgyzstan in the field of infrastructure, transport, logistics, agriculture and light industry as part of the implementation of the Mongolian government’s long-term development policy «Vision 2050» and ” New recovery policy”.

As part of Mongolia’s foreign trade diversification policy, the parties agreed to supply export goods such as meat, meat products and leather to the Kyrgyz Republic and other states of the Central Asian region, import fruits and vegetables from Kyrgyzstan, promote mutually beneficial trade and economic partnership, and intensify cooperation between veterinary and quarantine facilities.

Jeenbek Kulubaev noted ample opportunities for development of cooperation between the two countries in the field of agriculture on a mutually beneficial basis.

The parties also discussed resumption of direct flights between the two states and development of tourism cooperation through the effective use of a mutual visa-free regime.
