Multinational ETERNITY 2024 Exercise Begins in Georgia

Tbilisi — The ETERNITY 2024 command post exercise has officially commenced in Georgia, featuring military personnel from Georgia, Azerbaijan, and Turkey, alongside strategic departments within Georgia.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the exercise opened today at the training grounds of the Georgian Defense Forces and the NATO-Georgia Joint Training and Evaluation Center. This year’s exercise includes participants from various military and civil sectors, such as the Strategic Pipeline Protection Department of the Georgian Ministry of Internal Affairs and Georgian Railways.

Deputy Chief of the Georgian Defence Forces, Brigadier General Irakli Tchitchinadze, addressed the participants at the ceremony, expressing hopes for the successful execution of the exercise. The scenario for ETERNITY 2024 focuses on defending strategically significant facilities and economic projects in the Vaziani training area.

The primary goals of ETERNITY 2024 include boosting interagency coordination and improving communication on emergencies. Additionally, the exercises are designed to strengthen risk management and foster mutual cooperation in a multinational context, enhancing readiness and collaborative capacities among the participating nations.
