Ned Price talks Azerbaijan-Armenia normalization: Recently, therethere is a setback

US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken had the opportunity to talk with the Armenian leader. I hope that he (Blinken) will have the opportunity to talk with the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev in the near future, Ned Price, the spokesman of the US State Department, said at a press briefing, APA reports.

Ned Price noted that the US is doing its best for normalization between the parties: “At the end of last year, the State Secretary had several meetings with his Azerbaijani and Armenian colleagues, and a meeting between Armenia and Azerbaijan was held with the participation of State Secretary Blinken. Of course, we have recently seen setbacks and failures related to Karabakh. We want to see constructive dialogue restored. We are ready to cooperate.”

He noted that the United States is ready to work, as in the past, through the OSCE or, if necessary, with trilateral partners and international partners.

“We’re going to do what’s most effective at the right time in an effective format,” Price stressed.
