New Realities in the Region Emerged Due to Azerbaijan’s Efforts, Aliyev Tells Blinken


BAKU — Azerbaijan’s President Ilham Aliyev informed U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken that the region has experienced new developments, thanks to Azerbaijan’s efforts, during a recent phone conversation.



According to Azeri-Press News Agency, President Aliyev emphasized that peace has already been established in the region, with new realities and a status quo based on justice and international law. He highlighted Azerbaijan’s role in initiating the peace treaty between Armenia and Azerbaijan and stressed the necessity for Armenia to abandon its territorial claims against Azerbaijan, as outlined in its Constitution and other legislative acts. President Aliyev also noted the termination of the OSCE Minsk Group as a crucial step toward moving forward. On the subject of border delimitation, Aliyev pointed to the positive progress achieved through the bilateral process, with further actions to be conducted based on the Regulation.
