Azerbaijan starts using a new vaccine against coronavirus, the Ministry of Health, the State Agency for Compulsory Health Insurance and the Association for the Management of Medical Territorial Units (T?BIB) said in a message dated April 30.
On May 3, for people 60 years and older, the Vaxzevria (AstraZeneca) vaccine, produced by the University of Oxford in Great Britain, will also be used.
This vaccine will be used in Baku, as well as in Lankaran, Sheki, Ganja, Mingachevir, Absheron and Sumgayit. 84,000 doses of Vaxzevria have been delivered to the country, the report said.
It should be noted that the Chinese Sinovac vaccine is still being used in Azerbaijan.
