Pakistan mosque bombing: At least 16 people killed by suicide blast during Friday prayers

At least 16 people have been killed in a suicide bombing at a mosque in Pakistan, according to Independent.

The blast struck as Muslims gathered for Friday prayers in the village of Payee Khan in Mohmand Agency district.

Officials said at least 16 people were killed and 23 injured and there were fears the death toll could rise as rescue operations continued.

There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the attack.
