The day before, a meeting of the Pardon Commission under the President of Azerbaijan was held.
During the meeting, which was held in the format of a videoconference, more than 100 appeals were considered, including on cases of convicted military personnel and foreign citizens, a source in the Commission told Turan.
In total, the Commission has recently received about 1,000 applications.
It is assumed that the members of the Commission will consider them before the spring holiday of Novruz and present the list of persons recommended for pardon to the head of state.
