PFPA activist Elnur Hasanov arrested for 30 days

On Tuesday,  the Popular Front Party (PFPA) activist Elnur Hasanov was arrested by the Yasamal District Court for 30 days on charges of hooliganism and disobedience to the police (Articles 510 and 535.1 of the Code of Administrative Offenses.

According to the PFPA, Hasanov was detained today at the office of the “Azerishig” energy company and taken to court from there.

Two days ago, Hasanov came to the Sabunchi regional department of “Azerishig” because of the power outage on January 26 at his 85-year-old grandmother. She is the widow of a World War II veteran.

Hasanov emotionally protested that because of a small debt, the old woman was turned off the light. At the same time, he criticized the policy of the authorities.

He was promised to restore electricity to his grandmother, but did not.

Today Hasanov went to the head office of “Azerishig” and there he was detained by two men in civilian clothes.

“Obviously, after Hasanov wrote a sharp critical status against the authorities on social networks, they began to follow him,” the PFPA said.

Hasanov is the brother of the martyr of the second Karabakh war Hasanov Teymur Mahal oglu.
