Prime Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan Novruz Mammadov has hailed friendly and brotherly relations between Azerbaijan and Turkey as he met with visiting Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu.
The Prime Minister said that Azerbaijan and Turkey, which are friendly and brotherly countries, enjoy very strong and close cooperation. He noted that Azerbaijan-Turkey relations are of great importance for stability, security and development in the region.
Highlighting global projects implemented on the joint initiative of Azerbaijan and Turkey, PM Mammadov stressed that the realization of such projects as Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan, Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum, Baku-Tbilisi-Kars and TANAP embodies the unbreakable brotherly ties between the two countries. The Azerbaijani Premier underlined that these projects contribute to the improvement of prosperity of both Azerbaijan and Turkey and regional nations as well as to the strengthening of international cooperation.
Noting that the two countries are successfully cooperating in all international organizations, Prime Minister Novruz Mammadov said that Turkey has always stood by Azerbaijan on the settlement of the Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and provided great support to Azerbaijan.
Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu pointed out that the important steps are being taken to develop cooperation between the two countries, adding that close friendship and brotherly ties between the two countries peoples and presidents play an important role in strengthening Azerbaijan-Turkey relations.
