Poland draw 1-1 with Spain, keep last 16 chances alive

Poland salvaged one point to keep its chances alive of getting into the last 16 on Saturday as they drew 1-1 with Spain in their second Group E match in EURO 2020, according to Anadolu Agency.

Alvaro Morata scored the opener for Spain but Robert Lewandowski’s header was critical for Poland at La Cartuja Stadium, Seville.

Spain were close to leading again but Gerard Moreno missed a penalty and his team failed to get their first win at the tournament.

Subbed on in the second half, Polish midfielder Kacper Kozlowsk, who is 17 years and 246 days, became the youngest player to appear in the EURO finals.

Sweden currently have four points to lead Group E, followed by Slovakia with three.

Spain collected two points and Poland have one point.
