The presentation of the “Future skills” project was held at the “INNOLAND” Incubation and Acceleration Center of the State Agency for Public Services and Social Innovations under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
The project is designed to ensure the continuity of innovative activities in our country.
The presentation was attended by Ulvi Mekhdiyev, the Chairman of the State Agency, and rectors of several higher educational institutions.
The Chairman of the State Agency, Ulvi Mekhdiyev, spoke about the agency’s activities, the creation of an innovation ecosystem and the formation of its main components. It was noted that the active involvement of various state structures, companies and universities is important for combining efforts in modern convocations related to innovation.
As part of the “Future Skills” project, a Memorandum of Cooperation between the State Agency for Public Services and Social Innovation, ADA University, Baku Engineering University, Azerbaijan State University of Oil and Industry, and Azerbaijan Technical University was signed at the ceremony.
The “Future Skills” project’s main objective is to increase the human potential in the field of innovation, support innovative activities in education, as well as students in the educational process for the development and improvement of their ideas including to orient them to the field of discoveries, inventions that play an important role in the technological development of our country.
The project consists of 2 components, including a mastering program to train teachers as mentors in universities and incubation programs which are designed for training students as startups with the participation of mentors.
