President Aliyev Extends Warm Independence Day Greetings to Nicaraguan Leader

BAKU – Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has sent a heartfelt congratulatory message to Nicaraguan President Jose Daniel Ortega Saavedra on the occasion of Nicaragua’s Independence Day, underlining the strong diplomatic ties and mutual aspirations for enhanced cooperation between the two nations.

According to Trend News Agency, President Aliyev’s letter emphasized Azerbaijan’s commitment to bolstering the friendship and expanding cooperation with Nicaragua. “On behalf of myself and the people of Azerbaijan, I sincerely congratulate you and, through you, your entire people on the occasion of the national holiday of the Republic of Nicaragua – Independence Day,” the letter stated. President Aliyev expressed optimism about the future of the bilateral relationship, noting, “I believe that we will continue our joint efforts successfully to strengthen friendly relations between Azerbaijan and Nicaragua and expand our cooperation in line with the interests of our peoples.”

In his message, President Aliyev also extended his best wishes to President Ortega and the people of Nicaragua, hoping for robust health, happiness, and success for Ortega, and everlasting peace and prosperity for the people of Nicaragua.

This gesture reaffirms Azerbaijan’s strategic interest in fostering strong international alliances and highlights the importance of commemorative diplomacy in international relations.
