President Ilham Aliyev Honors Martyrs on Remembrance Day


Baku: President of Azerbaijan and Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev commemorated the martyrs of the Second Karabakh War by making a post on social media on the occasion of September 27, Remembrance Day. The day honors those who lost their lives in the conflict, which began in 2020 and led to Azerbaijan regaining control of territories in Nagorno-Karabakh.



According to Azeri-Press News Agency, President Aliyev’s post expressed deep respect for the fallen soldiers with the message: “With deep respect to our martyrs.” Remembrance Day is marked annually in Azerbaijan to honor the soldiers and civilians who died during the 44-day conflict.
