Projected Revenue Increase for Kyrgyzstan’s State Budget in 2025


BISHKEK: The state budget of Kyrgyzstan is expected to see a significant increase in its revenue by 2025, with projections indicating a total income of 428.780 billion soms ($5.03 billion), which represents 26.4 percent of the country’s GDP.

According to Trend News Agency, the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan has introduced a draft for the 2025 republican budget, which is also accompanied by financial projections for the subsequent years, 2026 and 2027. This draft is now slated for discussion in the Kyrgyz Parliament. The anticipated revenue for 2025 marks a 13.3 percent increase, equivalent to an additional 50.375 billion soms ($591 million), compared to the approved budget for 2024. This growth follows a revenue achievement in 2023 where the total income of the state budget amounted to 357.7 billion soms ($4.1 billion), surpassing the planned target by 1.4 percent.

The forecast for the years following 2025 also looks promising. The revenue for the state budget in 2026 is expected to reach 465.5 billion
soms ($5.4 billion), and for 2027, it is projected to further increase to 513.640 billion soms ($6 billion). The consistent increase in revenue is reflective of Kyrgyzstan’s economic strategies and growth projections, aiming to strengthen its financial stability and economic stature in the region.
