Renovation of “Khagani” Garden Enhances Baku’s Urban Landscape

BAKU—The comprehensive renovation and improvement works at “Khagani” Garden, located in the Sabail district, have recently been completed, transforming it into a modern urban recreational space.

According to Trend News Agency, the project involved the expansion of the garden and conversion of the surrounding roads into pedestrian-only zones, affecting streets named Rasul Rza, Gogol, and Khagani. The renovation expanded the park’s green area across 1.4 hectares, added modern benches, enhanced lighting, and introduced a new children’s playground. Adjacent residential buildings also saw significant improvements as part of the project.

These efforts are part of a broader initiative directed by the President to renovate and reconstruct parks and alleys throughout Baku, aiming to uplift the city’s recreational facilities. The newly reopened “Khagani” Garden now offers a serene and attractive setting for relaxation amidst the city’s bustling environment, aligning with Baku’s hosting of significant events such as the Azerbaijan Grand Prix of Formula 1 and the forthcoming 29th session of the Conference of the Parties (COP29) to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change. The renovation is expected to significantly enhance the experience of tourists and citizens alike, providing a peaceful retreat from the urban rush.
