Rouhani, May discuss boosting Iran-UK ties
The UK Prime Minister Theresa May discussed boosting mutual ties in a phone talk with Iran’s President Hassan Rouhani.
The two parties discussed boosting mutual economic, insurance and banking relations, Hamid Aboutalebi, deputy chief of Staff of Iran’s Presidential Office for Political Affairs, posted on his Twitter page Aug. 9.
The two senior officials also negotiated developing cooperation in regional issues, Aboutalebi wrote.
Deepening cooperation and fighting against terrorism, as well as the efforts of the two countries’ foreign ministers to enhance mutual ties were discussed in the phone talk, the Iranian official added.
The UK prime minister stressed the P5+1 (the US, the UK, Germany, France, Russia and China) commitment to the strict implementation of the nuclear deal, according to Aboutalebi.
