Russia sanctions British politicians, journalists

Russian Foreign Ministry announced Monday sanctions against 39 British politicians, journalists, and businessmen, APA reports citing Teletrader.

Among the people who will be denied entry into the country are Labour Party leader Keir Starmer and former Prime Minister David Cameron. The reason for the sanctions against the Britons is the “demonization” of Russia abroad and the alleged spreading of false information.

“Given London’s destructive drive to spin the sanctions flywheel on far-fetched and absurd pretexts, work on expanding the Russian stop-list will continue,” the ministry stated.
