Russian and Azerbaijani Presidents Discuss Bilateral Ties and Regional Stability


MOSCOW — During a phone conversation on August 28, Russian President Vladimir Putin and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev reflected on the successful outcomes of Putin’s recent state visit to Azerbaijan. The leaders expressed optimism about the future of their strategic alliance and discussed several regional issues, including the peace process between Azerbaijan and Armenia.



According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the conversation covered various topics, including the potential opening of a transport corridor linking Azerbaijan’s western regions with the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic. Both presidents reiterated their commitment to strengthening the partnership between their nations and advancing regional stability in the South Caucasus through collaborative efforts.
