“The Russian troops have damaged at least 59 spiritual sites in Ukraine during 31 days of a full-scale invasion,” President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated in his virtual address to participants of the 20th Doha Forum, APA reports citing Ukrinform.

“During 31 days of this war, Russian strikes have damaged at least 59 buildings of spiritual significance. These are mosques, churches, religious and educational institutions,” the Ukrainian president said.

He added that during the war more than two hundred schools and dozens of hospitals were destroyed or damaged.

“Just imagine, Russian troops are deliberately hitting these places, which ordinary civilians use as shelter,” Zelenskyy said indignantly.
