President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov, at the invitation of Federal Chancellor of Germany Olaf Scholz, will take part in Germany — Central Asia summit. The head of the Foreign Policy Department of the Presidential Administration, Muratbek Azymbakiev, reported.
The event will be held for the first time in the German capital Berlin on September 29.
«The head of state will also hold bilateral negotiations with Olaf Scholz, during which it is planned to discuss current issues of Kyrgyz-German cooperation, including expansion of economic cooperation, environmental issues and climate change. As part of the visit, it is planned that Sadyr Japarov will participate in a joint meeting of Central Asian leaders with the German Federal President Frank-Walter Steinmeier, as well as with members of the German Business Association East Committee of the German Economy,» Muratbek Azymbakiev said.
Earlier, the U.S. President Joe Biden met with the heads of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan at the first presidential summit in the C5+1 format on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly session. After this, official Tokyo initiated a summit in Central Asia — Japan format in 2024.
