“Nagorno-Karabakh it is an operation which is not so simple operation,” said Russia’s Defence Minister Sergei Shoigu in his interview with Tengirnews agency, APA’s Moscow correspondent reports.
Speaking about relations between Russia and turkey Shoigu said that work which is not so easy, very difficult, but with results between two countries are underway: “Joint work is difficult because they hinder it. They hinder it because Turkey is a member of NATO. But we find a solution variant. For example, the de-escalation zone in Idlib. In general, establishing a de-escalation zone in Syria on time, in our opinion, is the new page and new solution mechanism for such conflicts. The last work, of course, is Nagorno-Karabakh. It is a very difficult situation. I would like to call this operation namely so, not something else. Because, this operation includes a large number of arguments, elements, and motives. Agree that when two brotherly people, our two close neighbors are hostile to each other, which one we have lived it, I repeatedly say, we will live in conditions of peace, consent, and friendship after this… On the other hand, Turkey’s joining it… That is why it was important to talk and deal with Turkish colleagues. Our President, believe me, has shown great efforts to make all of these happen. Moreover, it was important to make everyone agreed. It means that maybe someone says that “I agree, but make others agreed”. No, of course, everyone needed to be reassured. We have also talked with our colleagues at our level. But the first thing to do today is to stop people from killing each other.
