Sochi Statement fully reflects Azerbaijan’s position – Foreign Ministry

The Sochi statement of the leaders of Azerbaijan, Armenia and the Russian Federation fully reflects the points expressing the position of Baku, the commentary of the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry.

 

“We positively assess the results of the trilateral meeting held on November 26, 2021 in Sochi between President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin and Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Nikolai Pashinyan,” it was reported.

 

The final statement of the meeting “fully reflects the points expressing the position of Azerbaijan.” “The statement should emphasize the urgent implementation of projects aimed at unlocking the economic potential of the region, including the opening of railways and highways. In the post-conflict period, Azerbaijan called for the full implementation of trilateral statements, the opening of all communications in the region, the beginning of the delimitation process between the two countries and the normalization of relations on the basis of international law. The Azerbaijani side will continue to take appropriate steps to implement the relevant points reflected in the Declaration of November 26,” the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry emphasizes.
