State Dept approves HIMARS delivery to Morocco

United States State Department declared on Tuesday that a possible $524.2 million sale of High Mobility Artillery Rocket Systems (HIMARS) has been approved, APA reports citing Teletrader.

As per the statement, the Moroccan government requested eighteen HIMARS units, as well as a number of other missile systems and accompanying equipment.

The aim of the transaction was said to be to support the US foreign policy and national security, as well as to improve Morocco’s ability to answer to “current and future threats.”
