Strict Entry Regulations Set for F1 Azerbaijan Grand Prix Fan Zone


BAKU—The upcoming Formula 1 Qatar Airways Azerbaijan Grand Prix 2024 will see stringent security measures in place, with several items prohibited from being brought into the fan zone to ensure safety and order, according to the country’s Interior Ministry.



According to Trend News Agency, attendees are advised against carrying items that might damage the venue or disrupt public order. The comprehensive list of banned items includes alcohol, bottles, beverage containers (except for baby use), and any food and beverage not intended for infants. Additionally, weapons of any kind, including firearms, knives, and non-combat weapon equivalents, as well as fireworks, flares, and similar items, are strictly prohibited.



The regulations extend to mobility and large items: rollers, skateboards, Segways, bicycles, scooters, and any large items that cannot fit under a seat are not allowed. Prohibited items also include drones, sound amplifiers, musical instruments, coolers, picnic baskets, and any provocative symbols or messages that could incite disruption.



Furthermore, attendees cannot bring flags or umbrellas with handles longer than one meter, nor can they carry professional video equipment or cameras with lenses over 30 cm in length. The stringent measures aim to maintain a controlled and secure environment during the high-profile international racing event.
