The development of humanitarian cooperation between Azerbaijan and Russia discussed

On November 25, head of the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Azerbaijan Samir Nuriyev met with Special Representative of the President of the Russian Federation for International Cultural Cooperation Mikhail Shvydkoy, APA reports.

 

The special role of the two heads of state in the comprehensive development of Azerbaijani-Russian cooperation at the level of strategic partnership, built on the foundations of friendship and good neighborliness, was stressed at the meeting.

 

They noted the importance of the humanitarian sphere, which is one of the important areas of bilateral relations, and reaffirmed their mutual intention to further develop cooperation in this area.

 

The sides discussed issues of cooperation in the field of culture, which is an important part of humanitarian relations, and exchanged views on holding joint events in this field.

 

The attention and care paid to the Russian language and Russian culture at the state level in Azerbaijan was highly appreciated, and it was noted that there are more than 340 Russian-language schools in our country.

 

It was noted with satisfaction that despite the difficulties created by the COVID-19 pandemic, humanitarian relations between Azerbaijan and Russia continue.

 

They also exchanged views on the diaspora and other issues of mutual interest.
