The “Schoolboy Entrepreneur” competition continues

Acceptance of projects for the “Schoolboy Entrepreneur” competition, held in hybrid (online and live) format, organized by the Republican Center for Child and Youth Development with the support of the Ministry of Education, continues.

The Ministry told AZERTAC that the main purpose of the competition is to form the entrepreneurial skills of schoolchildren, to develop small businesses among them, to identify creative and talented children with leadership potential and creative thinking.

Participants participated in the competition individually and in groups (teams of 3 or 5 people) in two age groups (10-13, 14-16).

Business projects for the competition were accepted in 5 nominations:

-Internet entrepreneurship (sales);

-Entrepreneurship in the social sphere;

-New desktop and online games;

-Environmentally friendly products and foods for children;

-Resource recycling – design and production of new products.

Each participant can participate in the competition in only 1 nomination and submit only 1 project. Entries in the selected nomination must be prepared by the entrant without outside interference.

The competition is held in 6 stages.

The first stage covered October 1-20.

Phase II – October 25-29. Online lecture course on the activities of startups and entrepreneurship, the concept of mentoring. Webinars “How to apply” and “How to prepare for the speech” on October 30-31.

Phase III – November 10-30. Mentoring. Team work on ideas, preparation of a project presentation with experts.

Phase IV – December 1-15. Collection of basic applications with projects and presentations, analysis of applications, formation of a short list of projects.

Stage V – December 20-29. Presentation of children’s startup projects and identification of finalists for access to crowdfunding.

Phase VI – December 30. Identification of winning projects.

Participants who won first, second and third places in each age group will be awarded diplomas and gifts from the Ministry of Education, and all participants will receive certificates.
