The Tokyo Olympics will be held without foreign spectators

This year’s Summer Olympics and Paralympic Games in Tokyo will be held without foreign spectators due to the coronavirus pandemic.

APA reports that this was reflected in the decision of the International Olympic Committee and the International Paralympic Committee.

It was stated at the video conference that work is underway to clarify the situation with those who buy tickets to the games outside Japan.

It should be noted that the Olympic Games in Tokyo were scheduled for July-August 2020, but were postponed to 2021 due to a pandemic. The games will be held from July 23 to August 8, 2021. At the same time, the name of the Olympic Games “Tokyo 2020” has been retained.
