Ukraine exported 1M tonnes of grain – Zelensky

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said on Friday that Ukraine has exported 1 million tonnes of grain since the Istanbul deal was signed, under the Joint Coordination Center’s control, APA reports citing Teletrader.

It was estimated that the country could earn up to $1 billion every month through grain export alone.

Turkish National Defense Minister Hulusi Akar recently commented on the grain coordination center stating that it would significantly lower grain prices during the current food crisis.

Two ships loaded with grain left Ukrainian ports on Monday, with more expected to arrive in Istanbul in the following days.
