Ukrainian citizen extradited from Kyrgyzstan to Minsk

Ukrainian citizen Vladimir Kadariya, who was in custody in the Bishkek remand center 1, has been extradited to Belarus. Human rights activists of Bir Duino Kyrgyzstan reported.

According to them, lawyers representing the interests of Vladimir Kadariya believe that his extradition is a violation of international law by Kyrgyzstan. They recalled that earlier Vladimir Kadariya appealed to President Sadyr Japarov with a request not to expel him to Minsk, from where he fled political persecution. However, the appeal to the head of the Kyrgyz Republic did not help the citizen of Ukraine.

In Belarus, Vladimir Kadariya was the administrator of an Internet resource that published opposition materials.

However, the Prosecutor General’s Office of Kyrgyzstan considers him as a citizen of Belarus and considers the decision to extradite him legal.
